Rainy ECP

Today is the first day I took 2 hours to cycle from ECP McDonald to Bedok Jetty. Can u believe it? My stamina is so lousy? Argh!!!

From 445 to 515, it was sunny n cooling. I pedalled at a slow speed n went to my favourite pond for photo taking. As time went by, the sky become overcasted n dark n I thought it was a wonderful day to cycle. I race though my favourite restaurant stretch at the Long beach n it started drizzling. I raced up to the bedok jetty as fast as I could, thinking that I could catch a rainy sunset. That was my worst mistake.

All of a sudden, there was a heavy down pour n I had no choice, but to seek refuge in a shelter wif a bunch of noisy adolesdents wif vulgarites on the tip of their tongue, two old ang mos, two expert fishermans wif their wives n a cool skater around my age. For the next 45 mins, fishing rods, tobacco n Linking Park mingled. Great... To think I hav to endure Camel Filters.

At 6, the rain finally stopped n everyone got out of the shelter. I turned into bedok jetty n enjoyed a wonderful ride up the jetty end, wif the strong sea wind blowing on me. As soon as I turned to leave the jetty, the sky turned grey n a flash of lighting n there came a heavier downpour. Gosh! I had to seek refuge in a pathetic little bus stop like shelter on the jetty n this time, at the mercy of the full blast of rain blasting at top speed. There, I spent another 1 hour wif this old uncle talking to me abt his fishing trips n watching for his jumping prawns.

Finally, the downpour mellowed a little n I had no choice, but to race my way back to return my bike asap. I already soaked to the skin at the jetty n my trip back was damn cold wif all the wind blowing. I was shivering profusely n the raindrops from the trees was painful on my skin.

However, its fun cycling in the rain. But next time round, I wanna put on a rain coat n hav prefect eyesight.
